Format text, add lists, and place dynamic values inside sentences or paragraphs.

Use Text blocks for paragraphs, headings, lists, inline formatting, and dynamic values. The editor keeps the writing experience familiar while preserving the structure needed for PDF output.
Format text
Select text and use the formatting controls for:
- Bold and italic emphasis.
- Underline and strikethrough when the document standard requires them.
- Subscript and superscript for formulas or official notation.
- Headings for document sections.
Use formatting consistently. A heading should communicate document structure, while bold and italic should emphasize a word or short phrase rather than decorate an entire paragraph.
Create lists
Use a bullet list when order does not matter and a numbered list when readers should follow a sequence. Ordered lists support decimal, letter, and Roman-numeral styles; bullet lists support several marker styles. Press Tab to nest a list item and Shift+Tab to move it back out.
Preview long or nested lists to make sure the spacing and page breaks remain readable.
Links in imported content
The editor has no control for adding or editing hyperlinks. Links that already exist in imported or API-supplied content are preserved and rendered as clickable links in the generated PDF.
Use rich-text data-contract fields
Data contracts provide two rich-text field types. Choose between them based on where the value belongs:

Inline rich text belongs inside a sentence:
Dear {{customer.greeting}},Block rich text needs its own document block. A Rich Text Variable can bind to either rich-text field type, but an inline expression chip cannot bind to a block-rich-text field. A value containing several paragraphs or a list cannot be inserted into an inline chip.
Insert fields into text
Insert a scalar field or an inline rich-text field where case information should appear inside a sentence, such as a name, date, decision, amount, or reference number. Keep the surrounding sentence complete when the field is empty or unusually long.
Preview with realistic examples so the sentence, formatting, and page layout still work when fields are filled.
Preview and check layout
Switch between examples and check:
- Long paragraphs and wrapped headings.
- Long field values inside a sentence.
- Multi-level lists and lists split across pages.
- Rich-text variables in the rendered PDF.
- Formatting that should remain consistent across the document.
The editor canvas shows the authored rich text; the PDF preview shows how it will wrap and paginate in the generated document.
