PDF Output

Choose PDF settings and check that generated documents are ready for use or archiving.

PDF output

Epistola generates PDF documents. Use this page to decide which output settings matter for a template.

Choose archival output

Turn on archival PDF when the generated document must be stored long-term or handled as an official record. Keep it on for templates where long-term preservation is expected.

Check accessibility

Use clear headings, meaningful table structure, and alternative text for images where possible. Preview with realistic examples and use quality checks to catch common issues before publication.

Check fonts and images

Before publishing, confirm that:

  • The correct font is selected.
  • Uploaded images are approved and sharp enough.
  • The PDF looks right with long names, tables, and repeated sections.
  • Missing images or fonts have been fixed.

Output format

Use PDF for production document generation. If a connected system asks for an output format, choose PDF unless your project has separate developer documentation for another supported option.
