How we handle data
Epistola is an open-source renderer. When you self-host it, your organization remains in full control of all data. The following details cover how we treat information for our public website, demo environment, and optional managed service.
Website analytics
We only collect anonymous traffic statistics (page views, referrers, and device types) to understand how visitors discover Epistola. We do not use advertising cookies or share analytics data with third parties.
Demo environment
The hosted demo runs sample templates and placeholder data. Documents generated in the demo are automatically purged within 24 hours. Do not upload personal or production datasets to the demo instance.
Managed service
If you opt for Epistola’s managed offering, a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) specifies responsibilities, retention, and regional hosting options. We only process the data required to provide the service and never reuse it for other purposes.
