Templates
How to create and manage the document templates your organization generates.
Templates
Use a template for one document type: a letter, decision, invoice, permit, confirmation, or form attachment.
Create a template
- Open the tenant where the document belongs.
- Go to Templates.
- Choose New template.
- Enter a clear name.
- Add the information the document needs.
- Add realistic examples.
- Open the editor and build the document.
Manage a template
From the template detail page you can:
- Create and edit variants.
- Publish new versions.
- Deploy a version to an environment.
- Update the expected information.
- Manage examples.
- Choose the default theme and archival PDF setting.
Choose between templates and variants
Create a new template when the document has a different purpose, owner, or approval flow. Use a variant when the document is the same type but needs a different language, brand, channel, or layout.
Good practice
Keep names readable for business users. The technical identifier can stay stable in the background; users should recognize the document by its title and purpose.
