Editor Overview

Use the visual editor to build, preview, and refine a document template.

Editor overview

Use the editor to build the visible document: text, headings, tables, images, reusable fragments, fields, headers, footers, and page layout.

Start editing

  1. Open a template.
  2. Choose the draft or create a new draft.
  3. Open the editor.
  4. Select a realistic example for preview.
  5. Add and arrange document blocks.
  6. Preview the PDF regularly.
  7. Save or publish when the document is ready.

Work with the preview

Use the preview to check whether the document still reads well with real-looking data. Check page breaks, long names, addresses, repeated rows, optional paragraphs, and headers or footers.

Use reusable content

Insert stencils for standard fragments such as signature blocks, legal text, address sections, or footers. Check for stencil updates before publishing important templates.

Add images

Use the asset picker to insert approved images. Prefer managed assets over screenshots or copied images so the template stays maintainable.

Keep data setup separate

The fields and examples a template needs are managed on the template detail page, not inside the visual editor. Set those up before doing serious layout work.
