Images

Tenant-scoped image upload with drag-and-drop, format restrictions, image grid, and editor integration.

Images

Images are catalog resources that can be used in document templates. Upload them to an Authored catalog, then select them from the editor’s Image block picker. The template stores a reference to the image and resolves it when the document is rendered.

Accepted formats

  • PNG, JPEG, WebP, and SVG
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB per file

Upload an image

Open Images and choose Upload Image. Select the target Authored catalog, then either:

  • Drag and drop — Drop a file onto the upload area.
  • Browse — Choose a file with the standard file picker.

Images in subscribed catalogs are available to use but are read-only. You cannot upload or delete content in those catalogs.

Image grid

Uploaded images are displayed in a searchable grid. Use the catalog filter to find images in a specific catalog. Each card shows:

  • Preview thumbnail — A visual preview of the image
  • Name — The original filename
  • Type — The file format (PNG, JPEG, etc.)
  • Dimensions — Width and height in pixels
  • File size — The size on disk

Images in Authored catalogs can be deleted from their card. Delete an image only after checking that no templates or other catalog resources still depend on it.

Use an image in a template

  1. Open a template variant in the editor.
  2. Add or select an Image block.
  3. Open the image picker and choose an uploaded image.
  4. Adjust the block’s size or layout as needed.
  5. Preview the variant to confirm that the image is present and rendered at the expected size.

The picker can show images from the catalogs available to the tenant. When you export a catalog, its referenced images are included as catalog resources so the template remains portable.
