Connect case information from Valtimo to the fields an Epistola template needs.

Map case data

Mapping tells Valtimo which case information should fill each document field.

Before mapping

Check that the Epistola template has clear expected fields and realistic examples. If the field list is unclear, fix the template first.

Map fields

  1. Open the document generation action.
  2. Select the template.
  3. Review the fields the template expects.
  4. Connect each field to the right case, process, or form value.
  5. Save the mapping.
  6. Validate it.
  7. Preview with a realistic case.

Review with users

Ask a business user to review the generated document, not just the mapping screen. A mapping can be technically valid and still put the wrong value in a sentence.

The underlying expression language belongs in developer or implementation documentation. Keep Learn examples focused on field names and expected values.
