Configuration

Configure a connection before a Valtimo process can generate Epistola documents.

What to prepare

Ask the Epistola administrator for:

• The Epistola environment to use.
• The tenant that contains the templates.
• A connection credential with only the permissions needed for document generation.
• Whether shared template packages should be installed automatically.

Configure the connection

1. Open plugin management in Valtimo.
2. Create or edit the Epistola connection.
3. Enter the connection details supplied by the Epistola administrator.
4. Choose the default environment when your project uses one.
5. Enable template sync only when the project ships shared templates with the application.
6. Save and test the connection.

Good practice

Use separate connections for test and production. Do not reuse an administrator credential for normal document generation.
